VET learners will also be encouraged to take part in VET mobility experiences. Each country will make available 10 mobility grants for learners willing to take part in a WBL experience abroad. The 10 beneficiaries in each country will be selected through a contest to be launched in each project country.
Based on the experience and on the inspiration of role models, VET learners will apply for the call for VET learners, presenting their own WBL project. They will not be passively selected by their school but they will have to work on the development of their own project.
This will also be useful for the development of key soft skills (communication skills, professionalism, problem-solving, critical thinking, teamwork etc.): thanks to the project-based-learning, students will have to create a clear structure for their mobility, being motivated by the goal of participating in an international experience. Each experience would include an emphasis on soft skills and will culminate in a final project made by a presentation or writing about the experience to support the improvement of the learning outcomes.
The WBL projects-candidatures submitted will be examined and selected by a jury composed by 1 representative per each member of the National Network.
The winner of the contest will be selected for receiving a placement grant for a 2 weeks mobility experience abroad.
Transnational mobility aimed at acquiring new skills is one of the fundamental ways through which individuals, particularly young people, can strengthen their future employability and foster their personal development. Vocational education and training enables people to acquire the knowledge, skills and experience they need to succeed in the labour market, whether for a particular job or for a broader range of occupations.
