WORK BASED LEARNING EXPERIENCES ABROAD FOR VET LEARNERS

Transnational mobility aimed at acquiring new skills is one of the fundamental ways through which individuals, particularly young people, can strengthen their future employability and foster their personal development.

VET enables these young learners to acquire the knowledge, skills and experience they need to succeed in the labour market, whether for a specific job or for a wider range of occupations.

Within ENNE, the WBL experiences abroad for VET learners shall allow the learners to develop their professional and soft skills, such as communication, problem-solving, critical thinking and teamwork.

PROGRAMME FOR 10-DAYS WBL EXPERIENCE FOR VET LEARNERS

• DAY 1
  Learning Outcomes: Get to know each other. Get acquainted with the working conditions. Initial self-assessment of the participants. Introduction to the Bulgarian culture and the state of art of the tourism, hospitality and tour guiding. Safety and protection protocol.

13:00-16:30 Training workshop – “Get to know Varna” – field visits to popular tourist sights in Varna, orientation in the city infrastructure and environment. Self-assessment and learning goals ECQ (Location: Varna)

• DAY 2
  Learning Outcomes: Introduction to the topic tour guiding. Basics theory and practice. Understanding the basic elements of the touristic service business and being able to distinguish and elaborate the different dimensions

  Learning Outcomes: Understanding the touristic places characteristics, types of touristic facilities. Abilities to develop tour program. Theory and practice

• DAY 4
  Leaning outcomes: Practical tasks on genuine tour program. Abilities to develop and improved understanding of touristic package parameters and content of the touring program.

  Learning Outcomes:
  Examination of touristic placements (local). Elaboration of a report and documents/presentations for product promotion. Improved understanding of the essence of the touristic service and developed practical skills for product placement.

  Learning Outcomes:
  Get acquainted with the good practices and wholeness of a touristic and hospitability service. Study visit. Verification of the theory and possibility to test and try real life situations
