The Education Directorate for Styria was established on 1 January 2019 as the successor to the Regional School Board. This is a joint federal/provincial authority which, as the central education authority, covers the entire school sector in the federal province of Styria.
The Directorate of Education is responsible for the implementation of all school legislation. This also includes quality assurance, school supervision and education controlling. The Directorate of Education also enforces service law and staff representation law.
Directorate of Education of Styria joins the Austrian chapter to identify actions and projects to be translated into innovative VET practices and policies.
