Created on 1st July 1994, the Portuguese Association of Professional Agricultural Schools – APEPA, represents a group of 15 professional schools that offer agricultural training, among other things. These schools are secondary education institutions and their main objective is to train intermediate technicians, with a qualification equivalent to the 12th year of schooling and a Level III EU professional qualification.
As an associate partner of ENNEPlus, APEPA will therefore contribute to the dissemination of the project’s objectives and results among 15 member schools, offering a diverse range of training, from agriculture to agro-industries, including forestry and, more recently, training linked to rural activities such as tourism, handicrafts, hunting and traditional construction.
APEPA joins the Portuguese chapter and promotes the active participation of VET centres members of the association.
