The Department of Chemistry, Biology and Biotechnology (DCBB) of the University of Perugia has been recognised by the MIUR (Italian Ministry of Education and Research) as Department of Excellence for the five-year period 2018-2022.

The DCBB constitutes a diverse scientific research centre with a high international profile and vast interests and synergies, with around eighty lecturers and fifty technical-administrative staff. The Department’s scientific production stands at an annual number of publications in international peer-reviewed journals of around 200 with dozens of projects funded by both national (MIUR, FIRB and PRIN) and international agencies. As an associate partner of ENNEPlus, DCBB takes part in and supports the implementation of dissemination and quality assurance activities.
