I.O. “D.Alighieri” has students from 3 to 19 years, including all levels of education (from pre-school to secondary school).
The secondary school has both a technical and a human sciences curriculum.
The school is located in a peculiar natural context, with a hilly and mountainous landscape. In this context, there is also an important presence of foreign pupils. Therefore, over the years, the school has activated several proposals aimed at fostering the integration of foreign or second/third generation learners and their families. All the initiatives had positive outcomes, as evidenced by the has students from 3 to 19 years, including all levels of education (from pre-school to secondary school).
The Institute has three years of experience in the field of Erasmus + mobility. At Secondary School level, the students regularly carry out extracurricular courses of Digital Storytelling and extracurricular courses in English for the certification of the B1 and B2 levels in the common European framework for the knowledge of languages. In particular, the school collaborates with museums and libraries regarding the digital use of the artistic heritage and the cataloging of the Piervissani Library in which there is a book collection of absolute historical and cultural heritage value. Moreover, I.O. “D.Alighieri” has always collaborated with other local institutions and stakeholders, building over time an effective network of cooperation with both institutional and public entities, as well as no-profit organisations, local associations, and social services.
